Kungfu Task

Yet ANOTHER task day…OH BOY!
We’re just chilling in our model house pretending to be Harry Potter when we get a Supermodelme SMS! It says something about a leap of fear (I knew we were gonna get chucked off a building at some point!)
So we turned on the TV to find our fate! Lisa’s message to us said that we were going to do martial arts, I CANT EVEN PRONOUNCE WUSHU!
So we reached Wufang Singapore and BOOOOM! THESE KIDS COME OUT AND START PERFORMING AN AMAZING MARTIAL ARTS DANCE ROUTINE! They were swinging their swords, twirling their brooms and slapping their feet and punching the air. They made everything look so SMOOTH!
THESE KIDS ARE CHAMPIONS.
So now it was our turn…
Spear hand and drop stance across floor left and right

Chop hand into half sitting: right hand press up high and hook hand low with left hand
Stop and double push, back sweep, spear hand and front sweep

Inside kick, outside kick, circle arm slap kick, hammer fist

Circle arm slap kick- bow stance elbow

Sky punch high empty stance/low empty stance drill: sky punch-smash fist, side kick, toe kick/palm strike, run and jump, smash ground in drop stance, cat stance- (push rt. palm forward and left hook hand n back)

Two spear hands step behind, whirl arms body turn into single arm smash ground.

CRAZZZZZZYYY!!!!! I Couldnt even stretch my body properly! EPIC FLEXIBILITY FAIL!!! I AM ALREADY SWEATING! So we were split into two groups: Nansi and I, Asha and Jakie. NANSI AND I WERE STRUGGLING LIKE SAD AUSTRALIANS! I lloked like a squid trying to perform the moves.
In the end, Jac won due to her sweet moves! She wins an over night stay at OCHARD PARKSUITES! A super duper fancy dinner PLUS a choice of a friend. She chose ASSSHAAA. So, Nansi and I returned home as sad losers! We chilled out and watched How I met your mother on STARHUB and ate Nansi’s yummy Stirfry Garlic Chicken!

Wire Stunt Photo Challenge

GOODD MORNING PHOTO CHALLENGE!!! Today is the deciding shoot for the TOP 3! PRESSURE PRESSURE PRESSURE.
DO YOU FEEL IT?!!!

ALL THIS PRESSUREE!?
We arrive again in the middle of no where. But there’s water and I’m wondering if we will have to perform Wushu Walking on WATER?!! HAHA. We met Lisa and Joel, the Photographer for today on a jetty and guess what the task was?!!……
Well…… WE’LL BE IN A HARNESSES IN MID AIR!!

And we have to look FIERCE! Aggressive! And Heroic!

Plus, we get a prop, we have to be attacking MITCH! Hahaha! Yeah! Mitch! Mitch the model/ drill instructor/ MMA Champion. Alright Mitch, you sure are a multi-tasker!

So we stroll into the warehouse to get harnessed up. Nansi goes first, and it looks so HARD. We have to watch our faces and watch out for the long, flowy fabric that we have covering our harnesses. Today I’m last and trying to learn what I can from the others but I know it’ll be totally different once i get up there!

I get my crotch padded (HAHAHA) and then harnesses up. The harness professional, Jimmy, starts telling me harness horror stories and I freak out! I get hosted up and I attempt to move. I look down and see Mitch standing there in a leather vest and pants. I start laughing.

Mitch, decked up in leather! He reminds me of Olivia Newton-John in Greece. HAHAHAHHAA.
I have to do a crouching tiger hidden dragon kinda pose and look down at mitch. It takes some time getting used to it but I’M FLYINGGGG!

WWWEEEEEEEE!

After my shoot, the photographer said “Beautiful” but are you lying photographer? Don’t be lying to me now! HEHE. I hope its enough to get me into TOP THREEE!!!

Elimination

Picture a room, 4 against 4. Four of us contestants lined up, waiting to hear about our future. And 4 judges, waiting to tell our future! Lisa S, Danielle Graham, Ase wang and Daniel Boey were our panel of judges today… Please oh please… SHOW ME SOME MERCY!

The stakes are getting higher and the competition is definitely heating up with just four girls left, we each have a 25 percent chance of winning this! At elimination the tension in the room was insane, to say the least. I was feeling nervous and butterflies were flying all over the place. No matter how well I think I do in my photoshoot challenge there’s a 25 percent chance of being eliminated as well, which is really scary because I don’t want to go anywhere!

So, judging time begins yet again, here at Universal Studios Sentosa.. My heart racing again… My picture’s comments went alright. Thank Goodness! I really thought I’d be criticised left right and center, but I wasn’t, so THANK GOODNESS FOR THAT!

So, it was Jac and I who were safe! Nansi and Asha were asked questions! OMG. I REALLY LOVE THE BOTH OF THEM AND I WANT TO SEE NONE OF THEM GOOOO! So I began to cry…AGAIN! I ALWAYS CRY DURING ELIMINATIONS!

And Asha was the last girl standing. OMGGGGG. TEARS TEARS TEARS.
BUT NOOOOO. Lisa walked up to Asha and said she was a LUCKY DUCKY. Omg. I was shocked! A Happy shocked! And Asha was so happy. I’m so glad!

SO WE ALL CONGO-ED OUT!

Rock Star Photo Challenge

WE’RE SO SUUUUUUUUUUUUPERSONIIIIIIIIIIC, SPAAAAAAAAAAAAAACE
INVAAAADEEEERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRS, TAKING OVER JUPITER TO MARS,THE SOLAR SYSTEM AND ALL THE STARS! GOOD MORNING SUPERSONIC SPACE INVADERS!

Today’s the big photo shoot that will get us from Top 4 into Top 3, FO REAL! I’m excited as usual, but still extremely nervous about what we may have to do to earn our spots on Top 3. I’m just waiting for Lisa to tell us we have to sing the song whilst running on a treadmill in high heels underwater whilst looking lost and longing for the last kiss with Utt.

We arrive again at St.James Power House and get extreme rock and roll hair by Monsoon and glamorous make up by Shiseido, wooooaaaaaaaaaah! We go out to meet Lisa and our photographer for the day, Kevin Ou! He’s an amazing celebrity photographer who’s shot Justin Bieber and 50 Cent before, yeaaaahh boyyyyyy! We also meet the rest of the band, Sixx! Today, we are not going to be models.
Today, we are ROCKSTARS PERFORMING WITH OUR LIVE BAND! NO POSING! NO SUPERFICIALITY! WE’RE JUST FERAL ROCKSTARS WHO HAVE TO COMMAND THE STAGE AND BRING THE ENERGY AND VIBE OF A TRUE ROCKSTAR!

I’m already relieved, this sounds like something I can actually manage! I’m going last, so after I’m dressed in my killer leggings and rockstar shirt and jacket, I get to go see the others perform. We really have to bring a lot of energy and confidence and swagger and just move around heaps to our live band. We need to own the stage and the song, ‘Supersonic’, and forget about being vain and superficial and forcing predictable poses.

Watching the other girls I’m already getting excited and dancing around on the floor of the stage during their shoots. I can’t help but mosh by myself, then remember I have to save my energy. When its my turn, I CAN’T WAIT! I leap onto stage and start going NUTS! I’m feral, jumping around the stage and rolling around and screaming and kicking over the microphone stand and leaping off the step and doing knee slides everywhere.

Its SO MUCH FUN!

Kevin and Lisa love the energy, and everyone keeps calling me the “Energizer Bunny” because I just keep going. This is my thaaaaang! We keep shooting until the song has been done to death and poor Sixx probably never wants to sing ‘Supersonic’ again! BUT ITS SO MUCH FUN!
I WANT TO BE A ROCKSTAR ALL THE TIME! When I’ve finished performing I
almost feel sick because I haven’t eaten lunch yet and I just gave the performance
everything I had, but it was sooooo worth it! I say I want to be the 7th member
of Sixx, which is awkwardly funny because there are actually 9 members haha.

Elimination

Just as I think its time to rest, we go STRAIGHT TO ELIMINATION!

AAAAAAHHHH! I’d been having so much fun, but now the pressure is on for Top
3! I want to be in the Top 3 so badly, I’m so nervous about what the judges will
say because I want them to love my photo so I can make it!

I’m the first to be judged today, eeeeeeep! The judges are Lisa, Kevin Ou,
supermodel Cindy Bishop and Sharon Lim. BE KIND, JUDGES! DON’T BE
SUPERSONIC CRUEL!

Guess what they said?! Oh, you can’t guess because you weren’t there. Okay,
I’ll tell you. THEY LOVED MY PHOTO! They said they can feel the energy, and
Lisa says they had quite a few photos they could have chosen from! Kevin says
the energy and everything was great, and Sharon Lim says, “3 words. Moves
Like Jagger!”

Just as I’m hoping they can move on to the next photo with my safe judging comments, we are forced to watch the Starhub Internet commercial from the day before.

NOOOOOOOOO CRINGE CRINGE PLEASE TURN IT OFF! After we’ve watched me humiliate myself rambling about Starhub Internet TV, the judges say that I could definitely have a future in hosting, as long as I control my mad expressive eyebrows and tone down the foolish Australian accent haha! But its pretty good for a first attempt

Walking back into the room after the judges have deliberated, I’m so alarmed.
I don’t know how to feel because I’m SO NERVOUS! I REALLY WANT THIS!
Staring at the light box, I almost want to look away.

I CAN’T LOOK MYSELF IN
THE EYE ON THAT ELIMINATION WALL! Luckily I don’t because…TOP PHOTO!

I’M IN TOP 3! OH MY GOD! IM ACTUALLY IN TOP 3!

I’M SO HAPPY AND STUCK IN DISBELIEF! I’M SO HAPPYYYYYY! Next to join me
on the safety platform is…ASHAAAAA! ASHA ASHA! YESSSSSS 1 2 1 2 1 2 WE’RE 1 AND 2! SO HAPPY! Nansi and Jac are stuck in bottom 2, and I can’t imagine what it must be like to be perishing over there.

Lisa strides out with her long, supermodel legs to ask to fatal questions. But,
catching us all by surprise, she asks Asha and me who we think should be in Top
3 with us. HEY I THOUGHT I DIDN’T HAVE TO ANSWER THESE RIDICULOUS
QUESTIONS ANYMORE?!

Asha says Jac and I say Nansi and its very, very close.

Lisa asks them both questions and its getting super intense. After final pleas
are made, Lisa says the decision will be made based on versatility and how
mouldable they are. WHAT DOES THAT EVEN MEAN? We stand and stare and
wait…wait…wait…NANSI’S LIGHT COMES ON! ME, ASHA AND NANSI ARE TOP 3

AND I’M SO HAPPY! We don’t have many days left, but I’m so glad its with these
girls. I feel bad for Jac, because she’s an amazing model and she came so far,
GOOD LUCK GIIIIIRRRRL!

When we get home we’re so excited I start jumping up and down on the couch AND A RAT SCURRIES OUT! EWWWWWWWW! HE’S NOT WELCOME TO BE IN THE TOP 3! But I’m still so happy I don’t even care about our new little pet. IT’S THE COUNTDOWN UNTIL THE END!
